Mark is a pilot and Rodanthi is a flight attendant, but their love story didn’t start on a flight. They met on a dating app and had to wait for two weeks for their common day off to go on a date. Their first date, a coffee that lasted for 5 and a half hours, resulted in both of them getting parking tickets. Remarkably, they still have that parking ticket framed in their bedroom. Fast forward to their 4th anniversary, Mark proposed to Rodanthi in Verona, Italy.
Rodanthi, originally from Athens, and the couple, currently residing in the UK, found the decision for a destination wedding in Athens city to be an effortless one. Athens shines as a wedding destination where culture, history, and contemporary life harmoniously converge, exuding a vintage charm that deeply resonates with us.
The narrow streets of Plaka offer an enchanting backdrop for a fairy-tale wedding, reminiscent of scenes from a movie, just as you’ve imagined.
Rodanthi and Mark brought this vision to life—a beautiful wedding ceremony in one of the oldest, most exquisite churches, followed by a glamorous reception in a modern venue overlooking the Acropolis!
For the ceremony entrance, we crafted a unique floral installation featuring pink and baby blue roses intertwined with feathers. At Eleon Loft, the romantic decor paired with luxurious rose gold tableware and vibrant tablecloths set an elegant tone.
Kind words from the couple:
” I was told that trying to plan a wedding is difficult at the best of times and how right they were, let alone doing this midst of a pandemic. We are living in the UK (I’m Greek, hubby is British) and dreaming of a romantic yet elegant “Greeklish” wedding in Athens. We had our date and venue planned a good 18 months ahead, but soon after we got engaged Covid came around in all its glory. We were stranded in the UK unable to go to Athens and sort out any wedding-related issues. That’s when we found Athina & her team.
